MWF on Netflix EPISODE 1
Streaming January 26th 2014
From Boston, MA

-Our commentary team for the evening are Dapper Dave Choate and Professor Brandon B. Lavin

-All episodes and specials (unless otherwise noted) are taped at Northeastern University. The camera pans the studio setting, featuring a nice looking stage and video wall (designed and run by the production design majors at the University). The room has bleachers set up that allow for about 200 people and tickets were virtually free, so it’s a full house.

-Ring announcer Gavin Loudspeaker welcomes us to the first episode of MWF on Netflix! Before we get to our opening contest, we’re going to take a special look at the participants.

-Video package highlighting Jesse White. We see footage of Jesse training in the gym with his old man, Vader! The montage features clips of a sit-down interview with Jesse, saying that it was his dream to make it in the WWE, but he was cut from NXT by surprise. Rather than feel bitter about how things went down, he’s going to work as hard as he can to make the MWF a success. He’s grateful for this second chance.

-A second video package plays, highlighting Ryan Nemeth! Ryan was also cut from WWE, but his attitude is much different. The workout montage shows him acting like a bully in the gym, menacing less fit people away from equipment, and looking to pick fights. The sit-down interview clips include Ryan saying that he never got a fair shake in WWE and he hopes they go out of business. Also, he hates his brother, Nick, who has forsaken his family name.

Jesse White vs. Ryan Nemeth
They lock up and work a match very reminiscent of the WWE-style, as both guys spent time in NXT. White wins a test of strength and clears the ring with a shoulder tackle. Nemeth has a tantrum on the floor and threatens to walk out, but regains his composure. The match restarts with Nemeth using that old trick of making the face chase him around the ring and then catching him on the way back in. Ryan focuses his attacks on the ankle, softening Jesse up for his ankle lock finisher. Jesse makes a comeback, but is limping too badly to effectively dish out his move set. Ryan finishes Jesse with the ankle lock, clean as a whistle at 7:15.
Winner: Ryan Nemeth

-After his win, Ryan snatches the microphone away from Loudspeaker to cut a short promo. He says that his days of being screwed around with are over. Even if his brother won’t do anything about it, Ryan will ensure that the whole world knows the name “Nemeth.”

-Video airs of a frumpy looking oddball of a man waiting near the runway at a small airport. He’s muttering about how late the flight is and plans on making sure the pilot loses his job.

-Back in the studio, Gavin Loudspeaker announces that in four short weeks, MWF will hold it’s first ever major live event, which will stream on Netflix! The show will be called Acute, and will be a traditional 3 hour pay-per-view style happening, but everyone watching can see it for only the 7.99 subscription cost! He is happy to announce that MWF has signed a main event worthy of this monumental occasion and welcomes the first participant: John Hennigan, accompanied by Melina Perez! The couple strut to the ring and it doesn’t take long for the fans to realize they are the bad guys. Hennigan looks at the fans with disdain and says he is easily the biggest star in the company, with Melina being the clear 2nd. He is casually disrespectful of Melina, who doesn’t seem to mind. He doesn’t know who his opponent at Acute will be, but he doesn’t care, because it’ll probably be some “no-name” the fans have never heard of, therefore nowhere close to being in his league. The couple take off, saying they’re going to get the hell out of Boston and wash the stench off before it becomes permanent. Loudspeaker doesn’t understand why they’re leaving, seeing as the opponent will be revealed at the end of the program.

-The frumpy man is still waiting at the airport. He’s grumbling that the investment he’s made had better be worth the money. He had to spend a lot of his father’s money to fly this high-level client in.

-Gavin Loudspeaker introduces the next participant, Frances O’Roarke! O’Roarke has an intense presence and gets into Gavin’s face. He screams that his name isn’t Frances, it’s “Frank.” Gavin apologizes wholeheartedly and redoes the ring intro, introducing Frank O’Roarke. The second participant gets an instant pop from the fans in attendance, as he’s dressed up in a lucha libra inspired outfit as a green ant. In fact, his name is Green Ant!

Frances O’Roarke vs. Green Ant
The fans take the bait to chant “Frances” at O’Roarke, which distracts him heavily. This match is quite different in style from the opener, with O’Roarke dishing out stiff offense, and Green Ant using a variety of high flying attacks to keep Frank flustered. Green Ant quickly gets over with his flashy offense, while the fans are continuing to have a field day annoying O’Roarke with “Frances” chants. Green Ant wins the match with the hold formerly known as the CHIKARA Special, now known as the Green Mile, at 7:30.
Winner: Green Ant

-The odd man at the airport is delighted because the plane carrying his new client has finally arrived! The small plane lands but there seems to be a commotion on board. The door opens and the pilot runs away from the plane, screaming in terror. Out steps a savage looking man identified as “Jaka.” The odd man is about to be beaten to a pulp by Jaka, but he begs for his life in pitiful fashion, promising him all the riches, women, and adult beverages to be had. Jaka likes what he’s hearing and helps the odd man back to his feet. This looks like bad news for the MWF roster, as Jaka has arrived in America!

-Longtime New England wrestler Alex Arion is in the ring and he’s going to be facing John Hennigan’s opponent at Acute. Gavin Loudspeaker can barely contain his excitement as he introduces THE PHENOMENAL AJ STYLES!

AJ Styles vs. Alex Arion
The crowd gives AJ a nice ovation (they’re a rather smart crowd). Arion is here just to do a job and make AJ look good, and shows just enough heel-ish tendencies to make sure the crowd is against him. Styles showcases his offense, including the springboard forearm, and finishes Alex with the Styles Clash at 2:35.
Winner: AJ Styles

-Styles cuts a short promo after his match. He says he voluntarily walked away from his former employers because he believes in professional wrestling and knows it can be great again. He says that John Hennigan has disrespected him by not being here to meet him face to face. He puts Hennigan on notice, vowing to call him out next week! AJ plays to the fans as Episode 1 comes to a close.
